Overpopulation in Pakistan: Understanding the Growing Crisis and Its Challenges
Overpopulation is a growing concern in Pakistan. It is so vigorously increasing. Pakistan is an overpopulated country. The condition of the population is so serious and worse. Pakistan is not a well-developed country. So it is so difficult for Pakistan to feed this huge amount of population. The smallest population of the world is Vatican City with 764 people. There are too many effective factors or causes for overpopulation in Pakistan; we don't have resources to feed this kind of huge population of Pakistan. The departments regarding control of population are not doing their duties. In Pakistan, there is no concept of family planning.
Why "More Children, More Earners" Is a Population Myth in Pakistan
There is a wrong concept in Pakistan. The more children, the more earners; this is especially in Pakhtunes and a little bit in Punjabis. Then the question is raised: why am I saying this concept is wrong? Because in various cases we can see this—7 children have no work and they all are in the unemployment circle. On the other hand, there are only two children (maybe a boy or girl); they can be a good citizen. Then it is proved the previously given statement is only a myth.
Main Causes of Overpopulation in Pakistan: Poverty, Education, and Cultural Beliefs
There are some causes of overpopulation in Pakistan, which are given below: high fertility rate with (3.3 fertility rate per woman), young population, low death rate, poverty, lack of education, unemployment, cultural beliefs, religious views, and joint family system are the main foundations of overpopulation in Pakistan.
Benefits of a Controlled Population: Lessons from Countries with Lower Populations
Good effects of less population in different countries are given below: conservation, better infrastructure, reduced poverty, reduced pollution, and sustainable resource use.
Bad effects of overpopulation in different countries are given below:
strained resources, unemployment, increased poverty, deforestation, pollution, resource depletion, overcrowding, increased crime, and decreased social services.
